MANICURE

Rubber base overlay

A rubber base manicure involves prepping the natural nails by sanitizing, shaping, removing cuticles, buffing, and cleansing, followed by a thin slip layer and a self-leveling thicker layer of rubber base coat, which is then cured under a UV/LED lamp. Optionally, the surface can be filed and buffed for smoothness. Additional art or gel color can be applied in 1–2 coats and cured, followed by a top coat that is also cured. The process finishes with applying cuticle oil for nourishment.

Rubber base infill (2-3 weeks)

The rubber base infill process begins by sanitizing hands and tools, then carefully filing down the old top coat and removing any lifting product around the growth area without damaging the natural nail. The cuticles are pushed back and removed, and the natural nail at the regrowth area is lightly buffed. After cleansing the nail surface, a dehydrator and primer are applied to the new growth. A thin slip layer of rubber base is applied over the regrowth, followed by a thicker layer to rebalance the nail structure, allowing it to self-level before curing under a UV/LED lamp. After curing, the surface can be refined if needed, followed by gel color or top coat application and cuticle oil to finish.

Rubber base extensions

The rubber base extension process starts with sanitizing hands and prepping the natural nails by removing old polish, pushing back cuticles, lightly buffing the surface, and cleansing thoroughly. Nail forms or tips are applied to extend the length. A thin slip layer of rubber base gel is applied over the natural nail and form, followed by a thicker builder layer to create the desired extension shape, allowing it to self-level. The gel is then cured under a UV/LED lamp. Once fully cured, the nails are filed and shaped to refine the structure, followed by optional gel polish application, top coat, final curing, and cuticle oil to complete the look.

Soak off

The soak-off process begins by filing the top coat layer to break the seal and allow acetone to penetrate more effectively. After gently buffing the surface, cotton pads soaked in pure acetone are placed on each nail and secured with foil or soak-off clips. The nails are left to soak for 10–15 minutes. Once the rubber base has softened, it is gently pushed off using a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick—without forcing or scraping too hard to avoid damaging the nail. Any remaining residue is lightly buffed off, then the nails are cleansed, and cuticle oil is applied to rehydrate the nail and skin.

Salt scrub

It typically involves massaging a mixture of coarse sea salt and moisturizing oils onto the hands to remove dead skin cells and improve circulation. The scrub helps to smooth rough areas, hydrate the skin, and leave the hands feeling refreshed and soft. Often followed by a moisturizing lotion or hand massage, it’s a great way to nourish and revitalize the skin.

Acrylic pedicure

This type of pedicure is perfect for those looking for more durable and longer-lasting nails with a glossy finish.
